GreenDestiny Posted November 25, 2003 Share #1 Posted November 25, 2003 Fuel Overflow Tank Reservoir - Looking for the Fuel Overflow Reservoir P/N 17350-E4601.Needs to come from a pre-1973 240Z. This is the tank that looks a lot like a windshield wiper fluid reservoir, but resides behind the interior panel of the right rear quarter panel (adjacent to the fuel filler port).Big hunk of plastic with more nipples than a cow's udder. You'd think somebody at British Leyland had engineered it.Heapum thanks! EScanlon Posted November 25, 2003 Share #2 Posted November 25, 2003 I'm glad you posted the part number as this SPECIFIES which one you need.Be aware that there were two types of fuel vapor recovery tanks. One was plastic as you stated whereas the replacement was metal. Unfortunately, due to the Vents on the pillar they differ in shape.Enrique Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/9046-fuel-overflow-tank-reservoir/#findComment-58391 Share on other sites
Bambikiller240 Posted November 25, 2003 Share #3 Posted November 25, 2003 The switch from Plastic to Metal occurred much earlier than 73. Like in early 1971 manufacture dates, when the "Series II" changes came to North America.
