Hi Mark:

On my 1972 240Z, when standing in front of the car and looking at the engine compartment, the sticker is just to the LEFT of the radiator. It was stamped (like with a rubber stamp & ink) with the paint code number.

PS I don't remember for sure whether the numbers were readable from this view ( I *think* they were) or were upside down from this view.

You can see where the decal should be in the very bottom right corner of this picture. I peeled off my decal and you can see the original green paint beneath it.

It goes on top of the radiator support. Right (starboard) side.

BTW MikeW is that a chain around your water pump pulley?

Edit: You position the sticker facing back. Like you are reading it from the engine bay. By the way where did you get the sticker from?

Nope, it's just a regular belt that happens to have rounded ridges on the outside; I'm not sure why.
