texasz Posted January 6, 2004 Share #1 Posted January 6, 2004 How much interest is there for a '73 240Z parts car? The body is quit rusty so I do not believe that there are any usable body parts (I think I'm using the hood, but not sure yet) but the drive train is entact and was running when the car was parked a couple years ago (I am keeping the carbs and intakes, fuse box and maybe the front grill). Other than that the car is entact and complete with ALL perfect glass (I hate to let the glass go), the dash is cracked just as most all of them are. The gas tank has been cleaned out and the fuel lines are new as I was told by the previous owner who is a reliable and trustworthy guy (he's a member here). Car is orange with black interior (is NOT the one in my gallery or my advitar). If people are intersted please tell me how much you would pay for it. I'm trying to raise some money to fund another 240Z. If nobody is interested or the prices are not good then I will just strip it down and part it out but I'd rather sell it whole and save the time and effort of parting it out (probably would get more by parting it out though). kmack Posted January 6, 2004 Share #2 Posted January 6, 2004 If the body has a lot of rust, you're better off parting it out. Pull all the usable stuff off and get rid of the rest. Only St. Stephen would buy a rust bucket! :cheeky: (Sorry)Not only will the individual parts store easier, you'll mostly get rid of the pieces faster by parting, than if you tried to sell the car as a whole. Ebay works nice for supplementing your car fund! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/9595-73-240z/#findComment-62978 Share on other sites
texasz Posted January 6, 2004 Author Share #3 Posted January 6, 2004 That may be the route I have to go but I wanted to move it quickly due to an opportunity I have. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/9595-73-240z/#findComment-62993 Share on other sites
Mr Camouflage Posted January 6, 2004 Share #4 Posted January 6, 2004 Put it on Ebay. People on there will buy anything.Saw a rock with mugen drawn on it in black texta pen advertised as an auto accessory. Was up to $21 bucks i think. :stupid: Or there was the Air Guitar, and shipping was free because they were not sending them anything.Or there was the guy selling pictures of big screen TV's Advertised as hi definition picture (no mention of TV in the ad). He'd post the picture of the TV to the winning bidder. The Police are investigating that one. He claims he was selling photographs of tv's and had done nothing wrong.Or there was a guy in spain selling mobile phones. He'd collect the money, then send them a brick!??? Why bother sending them anything? Sorry not much help i guess. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/9595-73-240z/#findComment-62997 Share on other sites

texasz Posted January 7, 2004 Author Share #8 Posted January 7, 2004 Hey thanx Ernie! Those are from the day I picked it up from you.Any how, for those interested there are now pix of the car available on my website at http://www.pape.ws/gallery/Parts_Car and for those who have broadband you can download the zip file which contains all of the pix from http://www.pape.ws/hosted_pix/ but I warn you, the file is about 90meg.I'm willing to trade this car for a used car trailer! Maybe even some cash plus the car to keep the trade even. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/9595-73-240z/#findComment-63149 Share on other sites
mikeg Posted January 7, 2004 Share #9 Posted January 7, 2004 I am in bad need of wiring for my 72. I guess it doesn't really matter which year it is. Yours looks like one I sold about 7 years ago. Let me know how much. I don't need body parts just electrical. But if the price is right I would be willing to buy the whole thing minus the parts you said you would keep.
