kyteler Posted January 14, 2004 Share #14 Posted January 14, 2004 This probably isnt exactly what you're after but I think it looks kinda good in a Bond car kind of way LOL Obviously the Gold you're after would be a lot more of a matt than intense glossy shiney like this. Changing colors can be a bit of a mission it's one think to darken down a silver to black but to turn a red into a gold is another, I'll keep playing at it, I've got nothing better to do. :classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/9706-280zx-series-2-rims/?page=2#findComment-64124 Share on other sites
JMT240KGTR Posted January 14, 2004 Author Share #15 Posted January 14, 2004 Interesting, thanks for that!Well the gold that comes through in that shot is pretty much the colour I have, and the dark centres look good. Thanks a heap for that, appreciate it :classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/9706-280zx-series-2-rims/?page=2#findComment-64127 Share on other sites
DatsunZGuy Posted June 12, 2004 Share #16 Posted June 12, 2004 I restored and polished set of six spokes for my car using Dupli-Color High Performance Wheel Coating "HWP 102 Graphite" Albeit, I didn't completely paint the spokes. I also used this paint along with clear flat to match the original factory anthracite (argent) color of the front grill , rear panel a hupcaps on my 72. You can see some of the finished product in my gallery. Here's a snapshot of one of the hubcaps: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/9706-280zx-series-2-rims/?page=2#findComment-84894 Share on other sites
MrMarcDude Posted June 20, 2004 Share #17 Posted June 20, 2004 KYTELER- Those rims with the black center are absolutely beautiful! I was set on getting a set of all black wheels that barely fit my car (78 280z) but after seeing those, and knowing they will fit. I have changed my mind. Great work man :classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/9706-280zx-series-2-rims/?page=2#findComment-85752 Share on other sites
