I have a low-miles L28 w/ P79 head. I know that I'm going to add the MSA cam with slalom grind (.480 lift, 260 duration) and headers.

I'm undecided on whether to stick w/ fuel injection or switch to triple Webers. With the above mods in place, can I add the carbs later. And if so, is this a good match?

Try to source either a P90 head or a N42 Head by memeory both are better then the P79 and the P90 is better again then the n42 :)

And a F54 Short block would be a good choise with the flat top pistons :)

Personally id stick with Fuel Injection... just go after market managment..

Some nice big injectors and a custom plenum and your laughing :)

Good luck :)

Read up on Z Garage and you will know all about the mods you want to make with the exception of the N42, he doesn't talk about that head. From the research I have done the F54 block with flat-top pistons and the N42 head are better than the same block with a P90 only because it's cheaper. What I mean by that is you have to shave the P90 and then shim the cam towers to achieve the same compression ration as just bolting on a stock N42 head to the same block; the compression ration for this block with an N42 head is supposed to be 10:1. I'm building mine in the garage now with an N42 head. :classic:
