D-Webster Posted January 25, 2004 Share #25 Posted January 25, 2004 My point about the old Zepher was that the original motor being used makes it kinda tough getting parts for it. Lets say I'm going over to Woodward and I lose the water pump or fuel pump ... good luck on finding one of those anywhere. The site to see this gorgeous car is:http://www.barrett-jackson.com/auctionresults/common/cardetail.asp?id=175730Put a 350/350 in it and it would have gone for probably 40-50K but it would have been useable to some degree. I guess I'm to practicle to appreciate it all that much. :tapemouth Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/9847-barret-jackson-auction-is-on/?page=3#findComment-65754 Share on other sites
TomoHawk Posted January 25, 2004 Author Share #26 Posted January 25, 2004 I was refering to the cavallino rampante on the back of my 280Z. You are correct, nonetheless. I wouldn't be surprised is some guy thought it was an 70s corvette. or something. I think that if you could afford to buy and keep one of those cars, you could afford to have a tow home and get a new one machined or something. TomoHawk Posted January 25, 2004 Author Share #29 Posted January 25, 2004 I'm working on the car mechanicals right now. Need a little more money to get the body work done, but I think the body will go on next fall. So right now only the badge is on there. If ther ricers can have the stickers, I'll have my badge! Bambikiller240 Posted January 25, 2004 Share #30 Posted January 25, 2004 If I remove all the Ricer stickers from their cars, can I have your Cavallino badge too? D-Webster Posted January 25, 2004 Share #32 Posted January 25, 2004 If I could afford to spend as much as that Zepher went for, I think I'd have a Mustang with a Merlin in it. TomoHawk Posted January 26, 2004 Author Share #35 Posted January 26, 2004 I finally found it in the Results section. That one car must have a special history, because the serial #162252 doesn't seem to special either. Plus it has aftermarket a/c.Te results went back about 10 years and most of the Zs were under $5. I guess the one I got was really PRIMO. at $4kI'd sell mine for $50k, but then I'd by another one, totally restored, with a better engine!O- L :disappoin Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/9847-barret-jackson-auction-is-on/?page=3#findComment-65810 Share on other sites
