You definitely want to make sure between 905, 918 and 110.

905 Red (till 8/71)

918 Orange

110 Red (from 9/71 on)

Too many times have I heard people say that their car was Orange and they meant Red, and others having heard that the original red was very orangish in hue mistook their true Orange as being Red.

If the sticker on the radiator support is still legible (mine isn't) then check the code on it. Or pull up your carpeting or part of your vinyl covering on the tunnel to see.

I'll check, but a verbal description of it would equate it to a very ripe papaya fruit seeing as you are in San Diego, and with a last name of Serrano I figure you might --hablar español.

Imaginate el centro de la papaya cuando esta bien pero bien madura, un color naranja pero todavia amarillento.

Or for those of us who don't speak spanish.

Imagine the center of the papaya when it is very very ripe, an orangish color but still slightly yellowish.

If you don't know what papaya is, imagine a dark tangerine.

I looked at Daisenei's car and I thought it was a little difficult to know exactly what the color was due to the shadows. It is different than my car color for sure. I had a body shop recommend contacting Nissan to get a sample or touchup kit for my car giving them the color number. I have not followed up on that but you might try if your looking for a specific color. Obviously no guarantee's as to getting anything from Nissan but its worth a shot. I know my car is definately orange and the color in the members section is a reasonable rendition of my car color. I have included a photo of my color with the color tag and an orange stanley measuring tape for comparison. This picture looks more red than the members section and that has to do with the type and amount of light. I don't know if this helps but I do know color is a hard thing to describe and interpret. Good luck.

XYZ, please don't take this wrong, but I believe someone has re-painted your car at some time or another and has put the wrong sticker on it for whatever reason they may have had. Why do I think this? In the almost 20 years I have been tinkering on Z-cars I have never seen the paint code label on the passenger side of the core support. They have always been on the drivers side on all the cars I have ever seen and yours is up-side down compared to the factory ones I have seen. Every one I have seen is put on so you read it from the front of the car. I may be wrong, if I am you can call me an idiot.

The color on your car does look to me like the 918 orange, however, looking down near the frame rail in front of the core support it almost looks like your car may have been red at one time. Perhaps it may have been the 110 red from the factory and someone re-painted it 918 orange??

I have had three 240's that were 918 orange and I can pretty much assure you that daisensei's car is 918 orange.
