what i need are Torque settings for:

Haynes manual says:

*Big end bearings

big end bolts? - 35lb/ft (L28)

*Mains

Main bearinh cap bolts - 40lb/ft (could onlyfind this in L24-26 section)

*Head bolts (L28)

stage 1 - 29

stage 2 - 47 (L24, 26: - 40lb/ft)

stage 3 - 60

the thanks Mr Camouflage,

i need all this so my mecanic can finish my car, its an 82' 280ZX ill try & post a picture up for ya.....

ive never driven it yet, so it should be really cool, how would a L28 injected compare to and L26 with twin flat tops?

They are both auto's, my 260z 2+2 is the only zed ive driven so far, i hope the 280ZX will go as well....

anyone else know the rest?

Piston ring gap:

Top. .0098-.0157

2nd. .0059-.0118

Oil. .0120-.0354

Piston ring side clearance:

Top. .0016-.0029

2nd .0012-.0025

Oil. .0009-.0028

Con Rod big end play .008-.012 (side to side)

Main bearing running clearance standard .0008-.0026 max .0047

Con Rod running clearance .009-.0026 max .0047
