And the wierd thing is I only have a dusting in my yard at the beginning of Feb...just north of Toronto...
Yeah. The snowpack in the mountains around here is averaging about 45% of normal. They aren't predicting a drought yet, but if it doesn't start snowing soon...

Gotta love El Nino. 62 and sunny in Seattle today, they said on the radio the other day that we haven't been below freezing since December (even at night). That's crazy. I guess it makes up for last year when my area had 31" of snow. We normally get 3-4 inches at a time, and it might snow 2 or 3 times a year. Not deep enough to shovel normally.

this was from last weekend. we dodged a bullet this weekend, but snow is back in the forecast for this Monday, and this coming Friday. and we swept the snow off the z after this picture was taken, so don't go dripping on me for mistreating my z. the wife's Maxima and my roadster have the garage.

if it keeps up with this snow, which is very unusual for us, i may be looking for a four wheel drive Nissan Patrol or Exterra, sigh.

The snow pack in the mountains just East of me is at 115% normal. We have had rain for a few weeks with a day or two reprieve a week or so back. The year I left Minnesota for California by way of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia it snowed 3+ feet on Halloween. I woke up in the morning, opened the front door and it was drifted all the way up so I couldn't even see light. There were often times that I had to park my car at a convenience store a mile away from home and get a ride in with the local cops in 4WD and then cross country ski back in the morning. It may not seem like it now, but it will melt. Hang in there.

After watching the Caps beat the Penguins:beer:, thought maybe that I could get the Trooper out (no go!). Under carriage got hung up on the deep snow. Main roads 2/3 clear according to the news, but plows have yet to reach subdivisions. Schools closed next 2 days. This has gotta hurt the super bowl business here locally. Oh yeah, just heard we have a 'winter storm watch' for Tuesday, maybe 5" more (just a dusting for you guys way north LOL.

As usual, I'm counting my blessings for having moved out of Northern Virginia. I drove the 260Z to a shop yesterday to get the u-joints replaced. It rained and drizzled some, but it wasn't too bad. I'm not missing the snow AT ALL.

It looks like the East Coast is in for it again today and tomorrow and again for the weekend. I'm glad I've ordered some more stuff from MSA to have another project for this weekend - it doesn't look like we will be going anywhere.

Forecast for the next 48 hours is .........BLIZZARD..........heavy snow with 70 MPH winds.........and another storm for the weekend...........I give up!
